Do you need a website audit?
- Do you have a website that no one visits?
- Does your site get a lot of traffic but not a lot of sales?
- Did you just lose a noticable chunk of your site traffic?
- Are your rankings much lower than you think they should be?
If you answered "Yes" to any of the above questions then you might need a Website Audit to help determine the cause.
An audit can find issues that keep your site from performing less than its best in the search engines. It doesn't stop at the search engines either...
Benefits of a website audit
What good is it if you rank #1 but no one buys anything? An audit will go through usability issues that could prevent users from completing a transaction.
An audit will see if you're following best practices and if not, tell you how to fix it. Despite what you may have read SEO and usability best practices haven't changed much over the past 15 years. An audit can help future-proof your site from any new algorithm updates such as Panda and Penguin which directly penalised low quality sites and spammy tactics.
If you suspect you've already been hit with a penalty from Google, a website audit is the best thing you can do at this moment. An audit can show why you were penalised and how you can fix it.
What's involved in a website audit
We will go over the site with a fine toothed comb and identify any areas that can be improved upon. We'll look at two main areas:
deal with things like content, site architecture, image optimisation, usability etc.
includes issues such as duplicate content, broken pages, redirects, robot.txt files and much more.
revolve around citations and anywhere your business is mentioned on the web.
At the end you'll get a very interesting document showing what we found and how to fix it.
What we need from you
We will need access to your Google Analytics & Webmaster Tools accounts. We can still do an audit if you don't have these available, but the audit won't be as detailed. It can be difficult to determine exactly which algorithm penalty you were hit with without this data.
We charge $150 per hour to do a site audit. If you would like us to check over your website for any potential issues, please contact our friendly SEO team for more information.
