If you've dealt with web designers before you've probably had some mixed experiences and you might even have some reservations. If you have never dealt with a web designer before you've probably got a lot of questions, in fact you probably feel a little overwhelmed by it all. Whatever your experience, we think if you take a few moments to get to know e-CBD, you'll find we're exactly what you're looking for. Here's some questions you probably want answered:

Tell me a bit about e-CBD

Our about us section has the complete low-down, but in a nutshell, we're a Queensland company, we manage around 300 websites for people, we've been in the business for 14 years and our philosophy is to make things easy for people and not charge them too much. We have a team of four full-time web designers who each have at least five years professional experience and we've done some great work in the past for a huge range of clients, including multi-national corporations, small brochure websites and pretty much everything in between.

How much is a new website?

Whoa there... How long is a piece of string? Costs vary of course, but most small businesses tend to spend between $1600 and $4,000 on their site. Larger organisations with lots of information, or online stores tend to spend about $5,000 to $10,000, big publicly listed companies usually spend over $10,000, but it really does depend so much on what you want to get out of your site. If you've only got $200 to spend, we'll help you maximise your impact with something simple, elegant and to the point. If you want to really start using the web as a serious business tool there's so much we can help you do, no matter what your budget is. We'll guarantee you one thing though, you won't get a better result for the same money from anyone else.

What information would I need to get together?

Work out what pages you think you need and write them down on a piece of paper (or better still, a Word Document or an e-mail). If you're not sure, just put some ideas down. Look at existing websites that are similar to what you want to do and make notes. Start taking pictures, or finding images of products you want to mention. If you decide we're the right people to build your website we'll do up a quote for you and outline exactly what information we'll need. If you're really busy, or you're not good with words, or you want some expert marketing advice we can do everything for you and put our copy writers on the job.

Can I just get a quote?

Absolutely. Use our quote form to send us your details, or just send us an e-mail. The more information you can tell us the more accurate we can be. There's absolutely no obligation to do anything and we're not pushy.

I think I know roughly what I want , where do I go from here?

We'll give you a written quote before we do anything so you know exactly what you're up for. If you're happy with the quote we'll tell you exactly what we need from you and give you a service agreement so you know exactly what you're getting from us. When do I have to pay?

We usually require a 20% deposit to begin work — that helps us cover costs in the initial stages of a project. Once the site is live and you're happy we'll send you an invoice for the remainder. We like to get paid within 30 days of finishing the job, but if you'd be more comfortable paying us off over a few months, that's usually fine. We'll sort the payment terms out before you sign-off on the job.
