Organisations We Sponsor

As we all live and work on the Gold Coast, we endeavour to support organisations we believe in.

Over the years, the team at eCBD have supported a number of worthy and exceptional charities, Not-For-Profits, community programs and events. We strive to always give back where we can and to remain active in our Gold Coast community.

Here are some Gold Coast run Not-For-Profits that we are privileged to assist right now.

TSS Business Breakfast

TSS Business Breakfast

The Southport School offers a number of scholarships and bursaries for boys who display the potential to thrive at the school but would be unable to attend TSS without the support of The Southport School Foundation.

With our close ties to the current and former TSS communities and our location to the school, we are proud Maroon Level Sponsors of the Business Breakfast. This breakfast was established in 1987 by The Foundation to bring parents in business together with all funds raised being dedicated to the Indigenous Education Program at the school.

The Indigenous Education Program was launched in 2007/8 and has grown to now have over 25 Indigenous students attending the School. A proportion of those students receive support via the funds raised through the Business Breakfast, through the Foundation, and the partnership TSS has with organisations including Yalari Foundation and Evonne Goolagong Cawley Foundation.

Friends of The Arts Foundation

Formed in 1968, The Friends are a not-for-profit organisation providing grants and youth programs to promote and encourage visual and performing arts. The Foundation believes that young artists are the life-blood and creative force of our arts community and their mission is to support and nurture emerging artists in their artistic development.

The foundation provides continuous support to individual artists and events by making donations from funds raised through membership fees and social events. This unwavering support enables residencies, workshops and masterclasses for young artists that span the visual and performing arts. The Friends of the Arts Foundation Gift Fund was later established to help talented artists to achieve higher levels of skill in their chosen disciplines. The Gift Fund is supported solely by private donations which provides annual grants to young artists on the Gold Coast.

e-CBD's Director Marilyn Strauss sits on the board and our team is responsible for all of their digital endeavours.

Rotary Broadwater Chapel by the Sea

Rotary Broadwater Chapel by the Sea

In a former life the Rotary Broadwater Chapel By The Sea was the Prayer Chapel at the grounds of the original Gold Coast Hospital in Nerang Street, Southport. In 2013 when demolition was imminent, the Rotary Club of Broadwater Southport Inc. were invited by then Gold Coast Councillor Dawn Crichlow to save the chapel.

That is what they did. They relocated the building to the Northern end of the Broadwater Parklands and loving renovated and extended the chapel to give it a new life. Since then, it has played host to weddings, naming days, memorial services and events. All revenue raised by Chapel hire goes to support their charitable community projects supported by the Rotary Club of Broadwater Southport Inc.

We are pleased to support this little non-denominational chapel where love is love.

Patchewollock Music Festival

Patchewollock Music Festival

“Under a big Mallee sky, one pub, one sheep yard and a whole bunch of grinning music lovers - my kind of gig.” Neil Murray, 2014 performer.

Like most good ideas, the beginnings of the Patchewollock Music Festival formed at the local bar, when one evening in September 2012 one bloke said to another “We need some live entertainment in this part of the world". Initially thought to be a one off celebration of the 'Year of the Farmer', the event was so successful it was subsequently decided to turn it into an annual event.

Run by volunteers, this unique bush festival has become a must-attend on the festival calendar. The committee work hard to provide entertainment for all ages with a variety of genres to suit many different tastes including music, theatre, bush poetry and workshops. Some of the amazing artists to appear on stage at Patchewollock to date include the Davidson Brothers, Sara Storer, Eric Bogle, Neil Murray, Greg Champion, Mick Thomas, Pete Denahy, Sal Kimber, Nick Charles, Cat Canteri, Liz Stringer, Lloyd Spiegel, Michael Waugh and The Hillbilly Goats.

Patchewollock Music Festival is a true cultural exchange between performers and visitors, who are treated to a rustic experience of 'living in the bush'. Our Director, Marilyn Strauss calls the North Western Victoria town of Patchewollock ‘home’ having been brought up there amongst the red dust and wheat paddocks

Rescue Mission For Children

Rescue Mission For Children allows you to become a global parent and to rescue children who are at risk.  The Rescue Mission for Children Inc. began in 1994 and is registered as a Non-For-Profit, tax-exempt organisation in Australia. Its purpose is to raise funds to aid in the social advancement and economic development of the Akha Hill tribe group and its children, although its doors are open to any children in need of care.

The children Rescue Mission For Children care for will no longer be prey for those who seek to exploit them, and to provide them with the skills they need to have a prosperous future.

This NFP uses funds to support vulnerable Hill Tribe children, giving medical & health care, nutritious food, shelter, an education and a safe haven from human traffickers. They give the children a primary, secondary and tertiary education to help empower the children to become facilitators for development in their own communities.

100% of all donations raised are used for the purpose for which they are donated, they are a volunteer organisation with no admin fees charged and Board Members are fully self funded.

The Rescue Mission for Children is located in the Mekong Highlands of Thailand, in the Provence of Chiang Rai.
