Australian Labor

Official website of the Australian Labor Party

In the lead up to the 2007 Federal Election The Australian Labor Party had begun implementing a major new branding strategy and it was vital that their official website reflected the new style, new look and new leader. Labor wanted their website to be a shining example of how the Internet can be used by a major organisation as a communications tool, news source, information library and reference point. Importantly, they wanted to leverage the power of Internet marketing to help people find answers to questions about the party, its policies and its people. e-CBD designed the stuff you see (working with our good friends at Ausnix who did all the hard work on the back end programming), constructed the layout (in CSS and XHTML for those of you playing at home) and designed a version specifically for mobile devices (mobile.alp.org.au). We also advised on ways to bring the site to new audiences, including search engine optimisation and social networking.
