The year was 1997; the world wide web was six years old, a 56k modem was considered fast, Netscape was the browser of choice, Grandma thought 'www' was a German automobile brand and Google hadn't even been invented.
Ten years is nothing in the grand scheme of time, but for a web services company it's an eon. e-CBD opened for business in 1997 and has continued to grow strongly ever since.
From humble beginnings as a publisher of online medical and legal directories, we now serve over 200 clients and manage more than 300 different websites.
Based on a philosophy of always aiming to exceed our client's expectations and never charging more than we have to, we have grown to become one of the busiest and most-respected boutique web consultancies in Queensland. Over the last ten years we've watched the Internet grow from a medium for email and online brochures into the very foundation for modern communication; e-commerce is now a very real part of most credit card bills, Internet refridgerators really do exist, grandmas video-chat to their grandkids on the other side of the world and the possibilities for an organisation to interact with its stakeholders through the web are virtually limitless (literally).
