Tower Bridge LondonLike most tourists I went to Tower Bridge because that's what you do. There are probably a million websites dedicated to the history of Tower Bridge (in fact I just Googled 'tower bridge london history' and there were 720,000 results) so I'll let you do your own research into the background of the place. To be perfectly honest I'd actually forgotten why it was built. It looks pretty old, but it was only built in the late 1800s, which isn't all that impressive really — there are plenty of bridges in Australia older than that.
