Raffles HotelRaffles Hotel is the architectural embodiment of British cultural imperialism circa 1880. It's one of the greatest hotels in the world and you can't rest your head for less than SGD$650 (which is about AUD$500 or US$390 — prices of course may vary, so don't sue me if they charge you more. I had some breathtaking chafing from walking around the city in denim shorts by the time I reached Raffles, so I didn't try and get an amazing photo, you can see more at www.raffleshotel.com if your'e interested.
