Singapore Skyline

It's a regional business hub and perhaps the best example of thriving, respectful, affable multiculturalism in the world. Malaysian culture and climate provides the roots for a society built by Chinese immigrants and British Colonialism (that's two isms in one paragraph, you can tell I went to university).

The city is located only 137km north of the Equator and the air is like walking into the laundry on a summer's day, shutting the windows and turning on the clothes drier. Even though I come from semi-tropical Queensland the humidity in Singapore bowled me over. You can't lift a toothpick without sweating your body weight out your armpits. Goodness knows how people can wear business suits. You can actually see the thickness of the air in this photo.
