Hole in the Wall, Jervis Bay

Not too many years ago (in the late 80s I think) Hole in the Wall used to be a hole, rather than an unassuming gap. A few hundred years before that it was just a wall, and a few thousand years ago it was a bit of ocean floor.

That's the beauty of sandstone, and the entire Jervis Bay landscape; it's in a constant state of flux. It's a living testament to the process of evolution, and a canvas of natural artwork constantly being re-invented by the forces of nature.
